Gorham antique sterling silver .925 reticulated pierced open solid hand cast repousse bon bon candy nut serving spoon, in the rare circa 1890 Art Nouveau figural No. 589 pattern. The spoon is monogrammed & I will let you decipher it. The decor features three cupid cherubs, a female woman or goddess, & the face of a bearded man, possibly the North Wind. The spoon measures approximately 5 inches long, is heavy & weighs approximately 1.370 ozt. The back of the spoon is marked with the Gorham Lion, anchor G sterling 589. I have just sold one recently like this here on eBay. The spoon is in good antique estate condition as follows; NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE.
