Antique STERLING Sewing Needle Case

-Thank You For Looking-

This sewing needle case measures approximately  2 1/4" long.  It is filled with needles from a time gone by.

It is marked STERLING, and has a "B" on it (not sure what mark that is) and a number "3" below the sterling mark.

This is a used item, that I would rate as very good with a pleasant patina (some polish marks).   There are some very light scratches from light use that would probably polish out.  I detect no other remarkable problems.  It closes very strongly and stays well shut.  I have given it a preliminary polishing. It could use another go over. I prefer some of the age to show in the patina.  I would guess this to be from the late 1800s or very early 1900s.

I used flash and natural shots for your perusal.

I will be selling a part of a collection of sewing notions, thread holders and thimbles, most of them sterling, NOW (see other auctions) and in the coming hours/days.  I will mail the lightweight sterling collectibles, fully insured at bid value, at my expense.  Just send me a note after winning if you are waiting for others to close for combined shipping.

This is a PREVIOUSLY OWNED AND USED item.  There are NO MONOGRAMS.
